Steven is one of our TWOPU heroes on the front line in Pader providing assistance to our Mercy families. He grew up in a district South of Pader, and after graduating from Makerere University in Kampala, he moved to Pader for a job with Africa Renewal Ministry. He served as a part time social worker for TWOPU beginning in 2017 and came on full time in 2019. He is in the field working with and evaluating the needs of the community. Our social worker team makes sure our families are healthy and supported spiritually and physically. Our social workers also lead a program in the village for people struggling with alcohol addiction. Steven says one of his favorite things about working with TWOPU is "Putting smiles on the faces of these women, men and children; whenever we go to their homes and they all come to meet us with excitement and say something to us. It's encouraging and melts my heart."
